Steven holds a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Steven has worked as a therapist at St. Michael’s Hospital and Credit Valley Hospital, as well as at child and adolescent agencies. He has over 8 years’ experience providing support and guidance to adolescents and young adults.

Steven uses a blend of approaches in therapy, including cognitive-behavioural, strengths-based, and harm reduction, tailoring them to fit each client’s needs. He has worked with diverse populations and incorporates principles of inclusivity, empathy, cultural sensitivity and anti-oppressiveness into his work. Some of the presenting issues Steven addresses include cyber-bullying, gender and sexuality, self-esteem, suicidal ideation, family breakdown, and substance use.

Steven strives to provide a caring and trusting atmosphere where clients can feel safe sharing their struggles openly and genuinely. His primary interest lies in assisting adolescents and young adults better cope with their experiences and emotions, and build skills and resilience to help now and in the future.
